Note: Juan-les-Pins in the Antibes was a popular holiday destination for many modern artists, most famously Picasso. Marevna visited in 1937 and was there with Picasso and Dora Maar. In her photographs and letters from the trip, there is an unidentified man with whom Marevna would go to the beach and play pétanque.
