Note: Fry met Gimond on a trip to Vence in the Spring of 1920. Fry wrote, 'a young sculptor Gimond, a pupil of Maillol's who is fearfully intelligent and passionately fond of art and poetry... I think of getting him over to do Pamela's bust.'
