Note: Jean Lafon studied under Léger and Le Corbusier and was influenced by Cubism and Purism. Later he was associated with the Surrealists as his compositions were arbitrarily based on natural elements. With Cattiaux, Ino and Marembert, he signed the 'Transhyliste' manifesto of the Gravitations group.
This important early cubist painting from 1929 reflects the influence of Léger and Le Corbusier.
