Note: Clark studied at Central School of Arts and Crafts, 1929–30, with John Farleigh and Bernard Meninsky, then was at the Royal Academy Schools, 1930–5, under Tom Monnington, Ernest Jackson and Walter Russell. Among a number of awards was the gold medal for historical painting. Clark taught at Brighton College of Art and Brighton Polytechnic, 1947–77. Was elected RWS in 1960. Clark showed at RA between 1933–74, also exhibiting at Brighton Art Gallery, Sussex Watercolour Society, Worthing Art Gallery and elsewhere.
