Note: Fry first met Vanessa Bell in 1910 around the time of the First Post Impressionist exhibition. They began an intimate relationship in 1911 which proved shortlved, but their artistic friendship remained strong until Fry's death in 1934.
This study was drawn by Fry at Guildford in 1911.
