Note: Bisson was associated with the Sandon Studios Society, founded in 1905 by a group of art students who wanted to encourage futuristic approaches to art in Liverpool. He was a modernist painter influenced by contemporary art in France in the 1930s. He embraced surrealism before London hosted the major International Surrealist Exhibition in 1936.
