Note: Macadam was a book illustrator active in the 1920s and 30s and she built a reputation as a dust jacket designer working for publishers such as Allen & Unwin, Collins and Bodley Head. She designed the cover for Agatha Christie's 1930 novel Giant's Bread.
She was influenced by McKnight Kauffer and the machine age cubism of Léger.
