Note: Jane Simone Bussy was a daughter of the French painter Simon Bussy (1870-1954) and Dorothy Bussy (née Strachey) (24 July 1865 – 1 May 1960), a British novelist and translator, close to the Bloomsbury Group.
Janie Bussy was born and brought up in France, but spent time every year at Charleston and exhibited her still life paintings at the Lefevre Gallery in London.
