Note: Born in London, Low was educated at Francis Holland School and Cheltenham Ladies’ College, where her art mistress was Charlotte Epton, who married Edward Bawden. Spent a short time at the Slade under Randolph Schwabe after study at Académie Ranson, in Paris, but her greatest influence was William Nicholson, who painted excellent portraits of her and her brother, Oliver Low.
