Note: Crawford studied art in New Orleans before moving to Paris in 1927 where she enrolled at André Lhote's Academy. Whilst in Paris she met Picasso, Braque and Raoul Dufy. Following her return to the US she exhibited widely including solo exhibitions in New York.
